The large 250 ml bottle of the thinner Jo Sonja's recommends in place of water. The difference is the binder: water dilutes it along with the paint and the layer loses cohesion, while Flow Medium keeps it in the mix. For airbrushing the ratio is three parts medium to one part paint. If you thin a lot and often – base coats, or larger models – this bottle works out considerably cheaper than the small ones.
