A wargamer who wants an army on the table quickly starts with Quick Gen or Deep Shades. A vehicle modeller picks Real Colors, which match period standards. Primer, paint, varnish

Acrylic will not hold on smooth plastic, resin or metal without primer – it peels off at the first firm touch or when masking. So the order is always the same: primer, paints and finally varnish, which evens out the sheen and protects the paint during play.
