Fluorescent Green from the AK 3rd Generation range – a fluorescent green for the most intense glow effects. Matt acrylic.

Fluorescent Green uses a fluorescent pigment – the most saturated green in the range. In a layer it reads almost like light, but it covers less than ordinary paint, so it needs a pale ground.

What it is for in figure painting

Frequently asked questions

Why does the fluorescent paint not cover?
Fluorescent pigments are inherently more transparent. Lay them over a white ground – over dark they stay muddy no matter how many coats you add.

How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
