Glow Precision Fluor is an AK Interactive range of fluorescent paints for the parts of a miniature that should shine – eyes, helmet lenses, runes, plasma weapons, energy blades or magic. They are enamel-based with high coverage, strong pigment and a matt finish. Every 30 ml bottle has a precision brush built into the cap, so you paint straight from the bottle without decanting.

How to use the range

1. Base: first paint the detail that should glow with White Glow Precision Base. Fluorescent pigment is translucent and would fade on a dark undercoat.
2. Colour: shake the bottle well, apply the fluorescent shade with the cap brush and let it dry.
3. Protection: the high pigment load makes these paints more sensitive to handling. If the miniature is used for gaming, a coat of matt varnish protects the effect – especially halos and lit surroundings, which wear first.

Shades in the range

A white base and six fluorescent shades: pink, red, yellow, light orange, orange and green. Over the white base they read as light rather than paint.

FAQ

Do they glow in the dark?
No, they are fluorescent, not phosphorescent. They glow in daylight and even more under a UV lamp.

Can I paint acrylics over them?
Yes. According to the manufacturer, the dry surface accepts any type of paint, so you can keep shading and glazing.

What do I clean the brush with?
These are enamel paints, so clean the brush with enamel thinner such as Odourless Thinner, not water.
