A Sumatran orangutan holds a tall trunk with one hand and leans on the ground with the other. Orangutans spend most of their lives in the treetops and their arms are longer than their legs – an adult male’s arm span is about two metres. The Sumatran orangutan is critically endangered and lives only in the north of Sumatra.
The model is 1/24 scale, which corresponds to 75mm in hobby terms. The trunk stands on a round base and forms a single model with the orangutan.
The Sumatran orangutan has a paler, cinnamon-red coat than the Bornean one and a grey-blue face:

We print our figures ourselves on an 8K resin printer. Some pieces are already printed and ship right away. If this figure is not printed yet, we ship it within 7 days of your order. When you pay by bank transfer, the 7 days start once the payment reaches our account.
How big is the figure?
An upright orangutan measures about 1.2–1.4 metres. At 1/24 scale the animal is roughly 5–6 cm tall and the trunk rises well above it.
Is the figure painted?
No. The figure comes unpainted in a single resin colour – the colours in the photos show how it can look once painted.
Does it need any preparation before painting?
The model is cleaned and cured after printing and the supports are removed. We recommend applying a primer before painting – paint adheres better and the details stand out.
When will you ship it?
If it is already printed, it ships right away. If not, we print it and ship it within 7 days of your order; with bank transfer, within 7 days of receiving your payment.
