What it is for in figure painting

What to pair it with
For deeper, dried trails mix in Wine Red or Blood Red. For older, darker blood add a drop of brown.

When should Blood Effect be applied?
Right at the end, after the matt varnish. Matt varnish over it would kill the gloss and the effect with it.
How do I make dripping blood?
Put a small amount on the upper edge and drag it downwards with the brush into a tapering trail. Less is more – a large red area just looks like paint.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
