Frequently asked questions
Why does violet look grey on my model?
Because it was lightened with white. Violet has to be highlighted through lighter violets – this set has those steps ready, so the saturation survives all the way to the edges.
Can the shades be used to shade other colours?
Yes, and it is one of their best uses. A dark violet is an excellent shadow under red, blue and on pale skin.
How do I thin these paints?
With water or an Ionic thinner. They are self-hydrating, so they stay workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop for brush work, roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the set better value than single jars?
