AK9510 wet palette keeps acrylic paint workable for hours. Airtight box, 40 paper sheets and 2 cotton wipes included.

Acrylic paint on an ordinary palette dries within minutes – and with it the shade you only got right on the second attempt. The AK9510 wet palette solves that: a water-soaked cotton wipe sits under the paper, moisture passes up through a thin silicone film and the paint stays workable for hours. With the airtight lid snapped shut, a mixed palette keeps until the next day, and even longer in the fridge. The 23.5 × 17.5 × 2.5 cm box is made of the same material as watertight marine cases, and the top holds a tray with compartments for mixing paint or resting your brushes. It comes with 40 paper sheets and 2 cotton wipes, enough for weeks of painting.

What to pair it with

Transfer paint onto it with the AK614 pipettes and mix to an exact ratio. For quickly mixing larger amounts there are the aluminium palettes and the AK8206 metal wells. Both AK 3rd Generation acrylics and AK Quick Gen contrast paints work great on a wet palette. When the paper runs out, the AK9511 refill has 40 sheets, and the AK9512 pack replaces the wipes.

Frequently asked questions

How often does the paper need changing?
When the sheet is stained or dried edges start to form – usually after one to several sessions. Swapping takes seconds and the paper is cut to fit the palette exactly.

How much water should I add?
The wipe should be soaked, but no water should pool under the paper. If the paint runs, there is too much water; if it thickens, moisten the wipe.

Will the paint last overnight?
Yes. The closed palette is airtight and the paint keeps until the next day. To keep it longer, put the whole palette in the fridge.
