Armour Grey is a light grey with a soft green cast – more muted and natural than the purely cold greys. It is the highlight step above Admiral Grey and a calm colour for grey cloth that should not read technical.

Build shadows with Admiral Grey and Neutral Grey, transitions and highlights with Sword Grey and Fog Grey.
How does it differ from Sword Grey?
Armour Grey is greener and warmer, Sword Grey bluer and colder. Use Armour Grey for cloth and weathered metal, Sword Grey for polished steel.
Is it good for dry-brushing?
Very. On weathered surfaces it gives a muted highlight that does not look as harsh as white or a clean grey.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
