Cyanoacrylate has one unpleasant habit: when it runs outside a joint and dries, it leaves a glossy patch that shows through every coat of paint after it. Eraser Cleaner softens dried cyanoacrylate so that it wipes away with a paper towel, without sanding and without damaging the detail underneath. It is used after the glue has set, on finished joints – exactly at the moment you notice the glue where it should not be. A 20 g pot lasts a very long time, because it goes on with a towel rather than straight onto the model.

Frequently asked questions
How is it used?
Dampen a paper towel with the cleaner and rub the area. While the surface is still damp, wipe it with a dry towel so that no cleaner residue is left behind. It is not a dipping bath – the product goes on with a towel.
Can it damage plastic?
Yes, if overdone. Left on too long or used in quantity it starts to attack polystyrene. So work quickly and with a small amount – for removing ordinary excess that is more than enough.
Does it work on fresh glue?
Yes, though there it is rarely needed – fresh cyanoacrylate wipes off with a dry towel anyway. The point of the cleaner is that it also deals with glue that has already set.
