Frequently asked questions
How is Color Punch different from regular 3Gen paints?
Higher pigmentation. They keep their intensity through thinning and mixing – an ordinary paint in the same glaze fades sooner.
Why use a black-purple instead of black?
Because black strips a colour of its identity. Black Purple darkens just as much but keeps the shadow coloured – that is the difference between painting that reads deep and painting that reads dirty.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
