Coral is a saturated coral – something between pink and red, with a brightness neither has on its own. It is a modern, assertive colour: it works on dresses, on fantasy creatures and anywhere you want a warm accent that is not just red.

Build shadows with Light Magenta and Dark Magenta, transitions and highlights with Light Coral and Gum Pink.
What do I shade it with so it does not go brown?
Light Magenta or Dark Magenta, not a brown. Coral has a pink component and a brown shade dirties it.
Does it cover a dark base?
Only moderately. Over black, base it with white or Light Coral – straight onto black it would take four coats.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
