Dark Marine Green is a dark saturated green with no blue cast – the clean military green of vehicles and field uniforms. It is dark enough to serve as a shade and clean enough to work as a base coat.

How do I keep a military vehicle from looking flat?
Base with Dark Marine Green, then lighten the centres of the panels by two or three steps and keep the darks only at seams and rivets. On large surfaces volume comes from variation inside the panel, not from its edges.
What do I highlight it with?
Olive Green and Camo Green. Yellow would turn it toxic and white would turn it cold grey-green – both look wrong on a vehicle.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
