How does the Intense range differ from Standard?
Intense shades carry a higher concentration and purity of pigment, so they are more saturated and cover better. Their label has a yellow circle; Standard has an orange one.
Deep Red or Bordeaux Red for shadows?
Deep Red is a cleaner red; Bordeaux Red is browner. For a saturated red scheme use Deep Red, for leather and old fabric use Bordeaux.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
