Flame Orange is a mid warm orange with a soft, almost terracotta character. It is less aggressive than Blazing Orange, which makes it more usable on cloth and leather. In flame transitions it forms the middle band between a yellow core and a red edge.

Build shadows with Orange and Blazing Orange, transitions and highlights with Light Orange.
How does it differ from Blazing Orange?
Flame Orange is lighter and more muted, Blazing Orange brighter and redder. Use Flame Orange on cloth and Blazing Orange for maximum contrast.
How do I paint convincing rust?
In layers: a dark brown base, Flame Orange stippled on irregularly, then pigment or a very thin orange glaze in the lower edges. Rust is never even.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
