What to pair it with
It covers best over white. Shade with Magenta and build the surrounding glow with progressively thinner glazes until it fades out.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't my fluorescent paint glowing?
Because it needs a light base – over grey or black the effect disappears. Always lay it over white or a very pale pink.
Do fluorescent colours fade?
Fluorescent pigments are less lightfast than ordinary ones. On a figure kept in direct sunlight the effect weakens over years – indoors and in a cabinet it is not an issue.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
