What it is for in figure painting

- Glazes – tinting that keeps its colour through repeated thinning.

What to pair it with
Shade with Deep Purple or Black Purple; highlight with Lilac and Pastel Violet. With Magenta it shifts towards red.
Frequently asked questions
How is Color Punch different from regular 3Gen paints?
Higher pigmentation. They keep their intensity through thinning and mixing – an ordinary paint in the same glaze fades sooner.
Is King Purple good for glazing?
Yes – that is its main advantage. Thin it with Glaze Medium and build thin passes; the colour stays saturated even in a very weak glaze.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
