Magic Purple is a saturated vivid purple on the border with magenta. It is the most assertive violet in the range – a colour that reads supernatural the moment it lands on a figure. For magic effects, portals and wizard robes it is the first choice.

Build shadows with Dark Violet, transitions and highlights with Malicious Violet and Purple.
What do I highlight it with?
Through Blue Violet and Light Lavender, not white. White turns a purple into a pale grey-violet and the tone loses its character.
Does it cover black primer?
In two to three coats. If it really has to glow, base it with Light Magenta – a violet over a magenta base is markedly more saturated.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
