A polar bear rears up on its hind legs and sniffs the air – this is how it looks around and checks what the wind carries. It is the largest land carnivore in the world, and a standing male reaches about three metres. White fur is a challenge: pure white looks flat and lifeless, so it is painted in warm cream tones with cool shadows.

Scale and format

The model is 1/32 scale, which corresponds to 54mm in hobby terms. The bear stands on its hind paws without a base; the centre of gravity is low and the model is stable.

Recommended paints

Polar bear fur is actually translucent and looks yellowish-white, while the skin beneath is black. For a realistic result you need cream, a cool grey and black:

Printing and preparation

We print the model on an 8K resin 3D printer in high quality, so even the finest details are preserved. The printed model is cleaned, cured and ready for priming and painting. Supports and their marks are removed.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the figure?
A standing polar bear measures about 2.5–3 metres. At 1/32 scale (54mm) the model is roughly 8–9 cm tall.

Is the figure painted?
No. The figure comes unpainted in a single resin colour – the colours in the photos show how it can look once painted.

Does it need any preparation before painting?
The model is cleaned and cured after printing and the supports are removed. We recommend applying a primer before painting – paint adheres better and the details stand out.

When will you ship it?
If it is already printed, it ships right away. If not, we print it and ship it within 7 days of your order; with bank transfer, within 7 days of receiving your payment.
