FAQ
Why not use Night Blue for the breeches?
Night Blue is a fantasy shade with high intensity – on a historical figure it looks too saturated. Russian Blue is muted and sits correctly next to the tunic and the gear.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
