FAQ
How do I dust a vehicle with it?
Paint the vehicle in its base colour, let it dry and apply Desert Sand thinned with medium to the lower areas and around the hatches. Dust is always lighter than the paint beneath it and builds from the bottom up.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
