Tint Inc. is the magazine AK Interactive devoted entirely to figure painting. Eduardo Fernández is its editing director and the format is the same in every issue: a run of step-by-step articles by painters from around the world, with interviews and commentary from the scene alongside. Printing and binding are at collector level, so it is not a magazine you throw away once read. The fifth issue is built on step-by-step articles by internationally known painters and covers skin tones, object source lighting and figures set into diorama scenes, among other subjects. What language is the magazine in?
Bilingual, English and Spanish – both languages sit side by side in the same copy. There is no Slovak or Czech edition.
Do I need the earlier issues?
No. Each issue stands alone and the articles do not continue across issues. It is worth collecting for the content, not for the order.
Are the articles usable by a beginner?
Partly. They assume you can hold a brush and mix paint, and do not explain the basics. As a source of technique and reference they work from the start.
