What it is good for on miniatures

What to combine it with

Build shadows with Purple and Deep Violet, transitions and highlights with Blue Violet and Lavender.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a violet or a blue?
Between the two, closer to blue. Next to a clean violet it reads blue, next to a blue it reads violet – which is why it bridges the families so well.

Can I use it as a general cold shade?
Yes, and it is one of the best colours in the range for it. Thinned into a glaze it works under blues, violets, greys and on cold skin.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
