Streaks are what separate a vehicle that has stood outdoors for months from one straight out of the paint shop. They form where water runs down a surface and carries dust with it – under hatches, below rivets, alongside welds. This enamel is built for exactly that: in the bottle the tone leans slightly green, but once dry it reads mainly brown. The method is simple – draw vertical lines from the top with a fine brush, leave them ten minutes to set, then blend downward with a flat brush damped in white spirit until the line becomes a soft transition. Shake thoroughly before use. The bottle holds 35 ml.

It is blended with white spirit, which this work cannot do without. Lay matt varnish before the enamel layer and finish the surface afterwards with pigments.
Frequently asked questions
Why is enamel applied over varnish?
The varnish separates the enamel layer from the acrylic beneath. That lets the effect be blended or wiped off entirely with white spirit without harming the paint – which is the whole point of working in enamels.
How long should the effect set before blending?
About ten minutes. Too soon and it wipes away, too late and it will not move. Warmth shortens the window, so on a larger model work section by section.
Does the enamel need thinning?
Not for ordinary application – it goes on straight from the bottle. For a subtler effect thin it with white spirit: the thinner it is, the more delicate the result and the more layers can be built up.
