What paper should the leaves be cut from?
Thin coloured paper dyed on both sides is best – ordinary office paper leaves a white edge that shows on the finished leaf. For a perfect result, spray the paper with acrylic on both sides first.
Can real leaves be punched?
Yes, and it is one of the tool's main strengths. Press dried garden leaves between sheets of paper for a day first so they are flat and brittle – then they punch cleanly and keep their natural veining.
