A spray is the fastest way to get primer onto a model. An airbrush has to be set up and cleaned afterwards; here you shake and spray – across a batch of parts or a large model that saves more time than it seems. This primer atomises finely, so it does not fill detail, and it holds equally on plastic and on metal. The can includes two diffusers: a standard one for large areas and a fine one for small parts. The contents are 400 ml. A grey ground is the most universal – it does not shift the shade of the paint that goes over it.

Frequently asked questions
From what distance should it be sprayed?
Roughly 20 to 25 cm, in short passes rather than held on one spot. The first coat should be thin enough that the plastic still shows through – the second one covers. One heavy coat floods detail and runs.
Does the can need warming?
Yes. A cold can atomises coarsely and unevenly. Leave it at room temperature for at least half an hour and shake it thoroughly before use – a minute, not a few seconds.
How does it differ from bottled primer?
Speed against precision. A spray covers a model in a minute but gives less control over film thickness. A bottle through an airbrush lays a thinner, more precise coat, which suits small figures and fine detail.
