What it is good for on miniatures

Frequently asked questions

How do I paint non-metallic steel?
Hard contrast and sharp edges. A dark base, Sword Grey in a narrow band, a white line on the edge and near-black just below it. Steel is about reflections, not smooth gradients.

How does it differ from Moon Grey?
Sword Grey is bluer and cooler, Moon Grey more neutral. Use Sword Grey for metal and ice, Moon Grey for stone.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
