Abyss Blue is a dark blue with a green core – the colour of water where light no longer reaches. It is the ideal shade for turquoise and cool blue tones and the base for deep water on bases.

How do I create depth in water?
A gradient from Abyss Blue in the centre to Light Turquoise at the shore, all painted before the resin goes in. Depth comes from the colour gradient on the bottom, not from the thickness of the resin.
How does it differ from Prussian Blue?
Abyss Blue is greener, Prussian Blue cleaner and more violet. Use Abyss Blue for water and turquoise tones, Prussian Blue for blue cloth.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
