FAQ
How do I paint black cloth so the folds still show?
Lay Black over white primer in one pass and let it settle – the edges stay lighter on their own. If you need more, drybrush the raised folds with Strong Grey or Space Grey.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
