Brown Green is an earth tone sitting exactly between brown and olive. It is one of those colours that is hard to describe and easy to use: it shades olives, unifies bases and gives vegetation the transition between living green and dry earth.

Build shadows with Burnt Umber and Black Brown, transitions and highlights with Desert Yellow and Khaki.
What is such an indeterminate colour for?
For transitions. On a base a clean green never meets a clean brown – there is always a band that is both at once. Brown Green is that band.
Can I use it as a glaze?
Yes, and it is excellent for it. Thinned, it unifies a base where too many tones are fighting.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
