Moon Grey is a light, nearly neutral grey – with neither a warm nor a cool shift. It is the workhorse highlight grey: on stone, metal and grey cloth it lightens anything without changing the hue. For dry-brushing it is one of the best colours in the range.

What it is good for on miniatures

Frequently asked questions
Why is dry-brushing with grey so effective?
Because grey does not change the hue underneath – it only picks out the shape. On bases and stone three passes achieve what layering would take ten minutes to do.
Does it cover well?
Yes, greys are among the most opaque colours there are. Over most bases one coat is enough.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
