Old Bone is a pale warm beige – bone that has lain in the sun for years. It is the highlight point of the whole bone and sand ladder: it lightens without bleaching, and the surface stays aged even at the top.

How does it differ from Bone?
Old Bone is paler and greyer, Bone yellower and more saturated. Bone is the base coat, Old Bone the highlight above it.
Is it good for dry-brushing?
Very. On skeletons and stone a light pass picks out every edge at once – it is the fastest way to give a base its shape.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
