How do I suggest wood grain with a marker?
Pull the tip along the grain and let small irregularities stay – they are what creates the texture. A perfectly even coat looks like plastic, not timber.
How do you use a Quick Marker?
Uncap it and paint straight from the brush tip. Light pressure releases the paint, so there is no palette and no thinning. Shake the marker before first use and press the tip onto scrap paper until it saturates.
Can I get the paint onto a palette?
Yes. Stroke the tip across a wet palette and work from there with a brush – useful when you want to mix the shade or pull it into a transition.
