FAQ
How do I make it look like weathered timber?
Apply Wood, then drybrush along the grain with Bone Brown once dry and spot in some Dirty Grey. Weathered wood is really grey with brown underneath – not the other way round.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
