What it is good for

What to combine it with
Add rust on top with Rust and Abandoned or pigments from the Pigments category. If you want metal painted by hand without metallic pigment, that is what NMM Steel and NMM Gold are for.
FAQ
Do metallics need stirring?
Yes, and more thoroughly than ordinary acrylics. Metal pigment settles to the bottom – stir for at least half a minute or you will brush on medium and leave the metal in the bottle.
Why did my metallic lose its shine after a wash?
The wash left a matt film over it. Go back over the highest surfaces with a thin coat of the same metallic once the wash is dry – the shine returns and the shadow stays.
Can the paints be bought individually?
Yes. These are standard shades from the AK 3rd Generation range in 17 ml bottles, so when one runs out you only replace that one.
Can they be airbrushed?
Yes. Thinned with 3rd Generation thinner they pass through a 0.2 mm nozzle as easily as lacquer paints. Neat, they are meant for brushwork.
