What to combine it with

How does it differ from Flesh and Skin Colors?
This set is built for mixing – two bases and four shadows, and you blend the tones yourself. Flesh and Skin Colors is a ready six-step ladder from shadow to highlight with no mixing at all.
How do I get darker skin?
Add Red Wine and a little Black Red to Basic Skin Tone. Do not add brown or black – skin loses its translucency and starts to look like clay.
Can the paints be bought individually?
Yes. These are standard shades from the AK 3rd Generation range in 17 ml bottles, so when one runs out you only replace that one.
Can they be airbrushed?
Yes. Thinned with 3rd Generation thinner they pass through a 0.2 mm nozzle as easily as lacquer paints. Neat, they are meant for brushwork.
