Golden Flesh is a warm golden flesh tone – skin that has spent a summer outdoors. It sits right in the middle of the flesh ladder, so it serves both as a base for tanned characters and as a highlight on darker types. It is one of the most dependable flesh colours in the range.

Build shadows with Imperial Flesh and Tanned Flesh, transitions and highlights with Elf Skin and Gnome Skin.
Is it a base or a highlight?
Both, depending on the skin type. On pale characters it is already a shadow, on dark ones a highlight, on tanned ones the base coat.
How do I paint quick tabletop skin with it?
Base with Golden Flesh, wash with a brown, dry-brush Elf Skin. Three steps, a few minutes, and it reads well on the table.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
