Moss Green is an olive green with a yellow core – the colour of moss and summer grass in the sun. It is the bridge between green and yellow that gives vegetation warmth: without it, green on a base always looks slightly cold.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a grass base look alive?
Never with one green. A dark base, Moss Green dry-brushed, and something yellower on the tips of the blades. Leave a few patches dry and brown – a perfectly green lawn reads as carpet.

Is it a green or a yellow?
A green with a strong yellow core. Next to a clean green it reads yellow, next to a yellow it reads green.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
