Dragon Green is a dark olive green with an earthy character – darker and more muted than Lizard Green. It is the main shade for warm greens and a base coat for scales that should look old and armoured.

What it is good for on miniatures

Frequently asked questions

How do I keep a dragon from looking like a toy?
Do not use one green. Darker on the back, lighter and warmer on the belly, a few scales deliberately off-colour, and a unifying glaze over the whole body at the end. An even green is the most common mistake on dragons.

How does it differ from Lizard Green?
Dragon Green is yellower and more olive, Lizard Green greener and cooler. The difference is small but visible over a large area.

How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.

Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
