Bronze is a warm bronze metallic between copper and gold. It is the colour of ancient weapons, statues and ritual objects – less showy than gold but richer than copper. On a figure it reads old and dignified.

How do I paint aged bronze?
Base with Bronze, brown glaze into every recess, green patina patches near the ground and Gold dry-brushed along the edges. Old bronze is dark in the recesses and polished where hands touch it.
How does it differ from Gold?
Bronze is redder and darker, Gold yellower and brighter. Use Bronze for antiquity and Gold for royal trim.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
