The angle keeps the marks irregular, which is what real wear looks like. A round tip tends to produce identical dots.
Which way should the angle face?
Point the long side towards the direction of the streak. Turning the brush over mid-panel is what gives weathering its random look.
How do I clean an AK synthetic brush?
