Astral Blue is a very dark blue with a violet cast – the colour of the night sky high above the horizon. It is the main shade for saturated blues and the base for anything meant to feel cosmic and endless.

How do I paint a starry sky on a cloak?
Base with Astral Blue, glaze Enchanted Blue and Magic Purple into the centre, and add the stars last with the tip of a brush in white. The stars must vary in size – identical dots read as a mistake.
How does it differ from Midnight Blue?
Astral Blue is slightly lighter and more violet, Midnight Blue darker and cleaner. Astral Blue is the sky, Midnight Blue is nearly black.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
