Blazing Orange is the most saturated orange in the range – almost red already, with an intensity that grabs the eye immediately. It is an accent and effect colour rather than a large-area one: wherever you use it, it becomes the main thing on the model.

Build shadows with Dark Red and Brown, transitions and highlights with Light Orange and Flame Orange.
Why not use it on a whole cloak?
You can, but then the figure has nowhere left to go – the eye stops at the orange and the rest disappears. For surfaces, Orange or Flame Orange is better.
How do I paint glowing metal?
From the edge in: near-black, brown, Blazing Orange, yellow and a white core. The transitions have to be very short – a glowing area is always smaller than it feels.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
