FAQ
How do I do a bronze statue with patina?
Paint it in Bronze, let it dry, then run Turquoise Green into the recesses and lower edges only. Finish by lightly drybrushing the raised areas with Gold – that is where patina rubs off.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
