What to pair it with
It covers best over white – base with white or Pale Yellow. Shade with Golden Yellow and strengthen the glow with a Clear Yellow glaze.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't my fluorescent paint glowing?
Because it needs a light base. Over grey or black the effect disappears – always lay it over white or a very pale yellow.
How many coats does it need?
Two or three thin ones. Fluorescent pigments cover poorly, and a thick coat will not fix that – it only clogs detail.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
