Leather Brown is a warm mid brown that reads on the model exactly like tanned leather – without the red or orange cast that so often spoils browns. The dense Ionic pigment covers even over a dark base, and the self-hydrating formula keeps the paint workable on the palette instead of skinning over.

Build shadows with Dark Ochre and Brown Green, transitions and highlights with Golden Sand and Sand. For sun-bleached, worn leather add a drop of white or Sand.
Does it cover over a black base?
Not fully in one coat. Over black expect two thin layers – Ionic has high opacity, but a mid brown over black always needs a second pass.
What is the difference between Leather Brown and Brown?
Leather Brown is warmer and slightly lighter, Brown is more saturated and leans red. The usual pair is Brown as the base and Leather Brown as the highlight.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
