FAQ
How do I paint white cloth without it going grey?
Use white primer and apply Light Grey Shadow once, thinly. The usual mistake is a second coat, which really does grey the surface. For deeper shadows, spot them into the deepest recesses only.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
