What it is for in figure painting

What to pair it with

Frequently asked questions
Luminous Orange or Fluorescent Orange?
Luminous Orange is clean and saturated and works over larger areas. Fluorescent Orange has a neon cast and belongs on small accents only.
How do I paint a flame?
Outwards from the core: white or Laser Yellow at the hottest point, then Volcanic Yellow, Luminous Orange, red, and dark at the tips. The contrast has to be extreme.
How do I thin it?
With water or an AK thinner. A few drops are enough for brush work; airbrushing needs more – AK thinners and cleaners are made for that. With acrylics, two thin coats always beat one thick one.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, the 3rd Generation range dries matt. To protect the figure or even out the sheen, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
