Rotten Yellow is a pale yellow with a green pull – a colour that looks unwell on its own. It belongs wherever something should read as old, sick or spoiled: yellowed teeth, mouldy cloth, weeping wounds, dead grass.

How do I paint rot on skin with it?
Thin it into a glaze and apply it only into recesses and around wounds, not over the whole surface. The effect comes from the contrast with the healthy tone next to it.
Why does it look greenish?
It has a deliberate green undertone – that is exactly what makes the tone look sick. For a clean pale yellow use Vanilla or Ice Yellow instead.
How do I thin this paint?
With water or an Ionic thinner. The formula is self-hydrating, so it stays workable on the palette far longer than ordinary acrylics – a drop is enough for brush work, and roughly 1 : 1 for airbrush.
Is the finish really matt?
Yes, it dries matt with no shiny patches. If the figure is going on the gaming table, seal it with a matt varnish at the end.
