What do I pair it with on a Soviet soldier?
Russian Uniform for the tunic, Russian Blue for the breeches, Dark Leather for the gear and Field Grey or German Grey for the helmet. Four paints and the figure is done with no mixing.
Does Quick Gen need thinning?
No. It is formulated to go straight from the bottle. For a thinner film or a smoother transition use AK Quick Gen Medium 18 ml – water breaks the contrast effect and the paint starts pooling into stains.
Which primer should I use?
White gives the cleanest, most saturated result; bone or light grey mutes it. Quick Gen does not work over black – contrast paints need a light base so the difference between the raised area and the recess can show.
